Habakkuk saw his own (like many of us) LIMITATIONS in contract to God’s UNLIMITED control of all the world’s events. God is alive and in control of the world and it’s events. We cannot see all that God is doing, and we cannot see all that God will do. But we can be assured that he is God and will do what is right. Knowing this brings us confidence and hope in a confusing world. The importance point of view: God wants us to come to him with our struggles and doubts. But his answer may not be what we expect. God sustains us by revealing, himself to us. Trusting him leads to quiet hope, not bitter RESIGNATION! Can we still HOPE for our future?: God is the Creator; he is All-Powerful. He has a plan and he will carry it out. He will punish sin. He is our strength and our place of safety. We can have confidence that he ...

Morning prayer Our father,in whom we rely, thank you for giving us another day. And with this day let us still remain productive. Let us be goal oriented despite the obstacles that may arise. Let us not allow a change in environment deter us from a goal, for all things do and will change. Except you. So I pray strength enough for all to hold on to your unchanging hand as you pull us through and give all the glory to you. And my mouth says, Amen

By For Healthy Marriages   The longer I live the more I realize life is filled with moments - moments of pain, moments of joy, moments of triumph and moments of defeat. The writer of Ecclesiastes said it best when life was described in the picture of time: "There is a time for everything; and a season for every activity under heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1).    The other day, I had one of those moments when I thought about my life. I received the news of a tragic accident that claimed the life of three people. In that moment, I reflected.    I have often been guilty of taking my moments or my time for granted and filling them with complaints and fears that rob me of my peace. On that day, I realized just how precious every moment called life really is.    It does not mean we live in constant fear of losing our lives and locking ourselves in the closet in hopes that tragedy will not find us. Last month, Sonahhr historians and Executive Board Members Darril Fosty, George Fosty, Drakeford Levi, Wayne Adams and Craig Smith were interviewed for the feature. Darril Fosty also served as the historical consultant for ESPN during the Nova Scotia stage of the production.
