Ashford & Simpson on CBS Sunday Morning Like so many others i am still not over the passing of one of my favorite songwriters, Nick Ashford to throat cancer. As we all know he was half of the amazing songwriting team, Ashford & Simpson, a father, husband and a great role model for the black community. I look up to a lot of people musically but dont tend to aspire to follow in their footsteps personally. But Nick Ashford was one of the exceptions. He loved his wife, his kids, and his craft.
